Communications and Marketing Officer

Do you have a strong interest in human rights and tackling modern slavery? Are you passionate about communications and supporting businesses to act responsibly?
We are looking for a motivated and organised individual to join our team as a Communications and Marketing Officer. You will contribute to the strategy and delivery of marketing and communications for Stronger Together, Association of Labour Providers (ALP), allianceHR, and the Clearview, Responsible Recruitment Toolkit and Fast Forward programmes, a group of initiatives all aimed at creating systemic human rights change in global supply chains.
The role will support the group of initiatives delivering dynamic and pioneering work on tackling modern slavery and exploitation in supply chains. Including:
- Stronger Together is a business-led, multi-stakeholder collaborative initiative whose purpose is to support organisations to tackle modern slavery within their businesses and supply chains. We work with the 9 largest UK supermarkets in our consumer goods programme and last year launched a new construction industry programme with our development partner the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB), as well as a new programme in South Africa supporting businesses in the fruit and wine producing industries.
- The Association of Labour Providers (ALP) is a The Association of Labour Providers (ALP) is the specialist trade association promoting responsible recruitment for labour providers. ALP represents and supports its members to ensure that the provision, use and management of labour in the food processing, horticultural and wider manufacturing, industrial, warehousing and distribution sectors is recognised as a model of good practice. ALP Members range from small local labour providers to the largest national multi-sector suppliers.

You will be responsible for driving social media presence and engagement, with a focus on LinkedIn and creating online and offline content. The post holder will have excellent writing skills, ability to develop compelling and targeted content and a good eye for detail.
Salary: £21,000 – 23,000 annually
Contract: full-time, fixed-term until 31st March 2019
